First off, thank you Brendan!

Second: the text-as-images thing. The biggest reason for the text as images is that I'm a bit of a type-nut. I used Officina-Sans for the type and it's not one of those "embed-friendly" or "import-friendly" fonts, being a commercial, Open-Type typeface. Rather than risk the wrath of Adobe, I made the two images.

As far as the blueprint framework goes, it's awesome. I may be doing a write-up on using blueprint in the near future. It not only made work go a little faster, but it allowed me to concentrate more on designing and less on fiddling around. Of course, there's always a bit of fiddling, but this time it was minimized to wrestling with IE6 for a few small issues and wrangling conditional comments to work in my standalone IE6 browser. I've used blueprint for a few sites now and have been nothing but pleased with it. It's also quite easy to customize, which makes it an absolute gem of a tool.

Great work Tina, clean & cool.

Only one thing I have to ask, why the use of images for text (main title and "The Refresh Manifesto")?

OK two things, what'd you think of using the Blueprint CSS (sorry, poking around your source!)? Did it speed things up?

Yes--I too await the death of IE6, but in the meantime, conditional comments are our friend.

I can sympathize. I can't wait for the day that I no longer have to worry about making my sites compatible with IE6. Sooner rather than later I hope.

Wow--thanks Brad! I want to note that there was a slub with Internet Explorer 6, but after testing and re-coding, it <em>should</em> be fixed. So much for perfection, right?
